Our Story
The Window & Door Shoppe has been the Puget Sound region’s trusted family-owned window showroom in Edmonds, Washington since May 1985 — 41 years and counting.. What started as a small, dedicated window and door operation has grown into one of the most established and well-credentialed independent showrooms in the Pacific Northwest.
My father Rory was here from the very beginning in 1985 — one of the original team members who helped build this business from the ground up. Over time, Rory’s dedication to the business led him to purchase it, and from there he brought his sons in to work alongside him. That’s when The Window & Door Shoppe became a true family business in every sense of the word.
When Rory passed, I purchased the business from his estate in 2018. It wasn’t just a business transaction — it was a commitment to carry forward everything he built and everything he stood for. Integrity. Honesty. Treating every customer the way you’d want to be treated yourself.
41 years later, those values still drive everything we do. When you walk into our showroom, you’re not talking to a commissioned sales rep at a national chain. You’re talking to me — Jason Gudmundson — or someone I’ve personally hired and trained, in a business my family has poured decades into.
That’s not something you can franchise.
